Four players from Wareham Legion Post #220 were selected as District 10 American Legion Baseball’s All-District All-Stars following the conclusion of the regular 2011 season.

Infielder Sean Conway and first baseman Sean Griffith were selected as first-pick district all-stars. Shortstop Michael Sullivan and Billy Peterson were named second-pick district all-stars and received an honorable mention for their work on the field.

“I’m proud of the four guys selected,” said Post #220 Coach Keith Delgado. "It was well-deserved. They had a good season.”

Griffith, a senior at Bourne High School, marked the 2011 season with a .351 batting average and 18 RBIs.

Michael Sullivan, a graduate of Wareham High School who now attends Massasoit Community College, played solid defense as the team’s shortstop. He hit .320 and scored 21 runs.

Billy Peterson, a recent graduate of Wareham High School, played five different positions and ended with a .346 batting average.
